material in the radio room and rescue van.
e) Keep radio room clean and ready for use at all times.
2) Rescue 1 as to:
a) Inventory
b) Cleanliness inside and out
c) Seasonal change material
d) Lighting
e) Radio operation - mobile and portable
reporting all deficiencies to the deputy chief
Crew # 2 Responsibilities

1) Fire Fighting:
a) All aspects of fire fighting as necessary and trained for.
2) Equipment:
a) Ensure that the equipment is in place and ready for use by:
1) Completing an inventory cheek on the equipment at least
once a month.
2) Do a quick equipment check alter each incident.
3) Report any deficiencies in the equipment to the deputy
or fire chief
3) Apparatus:
a) Ensure that Pumper 2 is ready for operation by:
1) Completing the inventory check at least once per month.
2) Check the unit after each incident, including:
- tank levels
- note any operational problems
- clean the unit
4) Medical:
a) Train with the ambulance crew to be sufficiently trained
to give aid to them at a scene in:
1) Knowledge of equipment and material location in the ambulance.
2) Know the names of the various pieces of equipment that would
be needed.
3) Know the workings of equipment as set out by the Ambulance
co-ordinator.
4) Have at least St. Johns Standard First Aid equivalent and CPR.
5) Any other abilities and knowledge as instructed.
Crew # 3 Responsibilities

a) All aspects of firefighting as necessary and trained for

a) Maintain cleanliness
b) Ensure that snow, ice, or debris does not accumulate to a
point of hazard or unnecessary inconvenience
c) Aid with the upkeep of the building as directed
3) Apparatus:
a) Ensure Pumper 3 and pumper 4 are ready for operation by:
1) Completing the inventory cheek at least once a month.
2) Cheek each unit after each incident that it goes to, including:
- tank levels
- note any problems to the deputy or chief
- clean the unit
4) Rescue
a) Train in the rescue procedures of
1) Vehicle extracation
2) Ice rescue
3) Water rescue
4) Low angle rescue
5) High angle rescue
b) Be prepared to participate in those areas of rescue trained in.
