  • 1980 Rescue Van (Rescue 1), goes to all fires.
  • 1994 Ford Pumper (Pumper 2), goes to town fires. It does not go to MD fires unless there is another unit left in town.
  • 1970 Ford Pumper (Pumper 3), goes to both town and MD fires.
  • 1975 Dodge Pumper (Pumper 4), goes to MD fires and provides town back up when needed.

ON FIRE CALL:

  1. Each truck should have a minimum of two and maximum of three firefighters in the cab. No one rides the tailgate.
  2. Trucks leave after determining the location of the fire.
  3. Two trucks are dispatched to each fire, if manpower permits.
  4. Rescue 1 is dispatched to every fire with the pumper units.

UPON RETURN FROM A FIRE CALL:

  1. Check water levels in trucks. Fill if down any more than 2".
  2. Check fuel levels in each unit (used and not used). During warm weather, fill to top. During cold weather the units can't be filled to top because they will expand in the warm garage and leak on the floor.
  3. Equipment that has been used (such as extinguishers or air bottles) should be placed in the equipment room. Note on the call sheet what was used so they can be made ready for next call.
  4. Any repairs needed should also be noted on the call sheet and on the appropriate equipment check list.
  5. All turnout gear is to be placed in their proper places, ready for the next call.
It is the responsibility of each firefighter to maintain their gear in the proper location, and to ensure that it is clean and usable. Let the fire chief or person in charge know if any repairs are needed.
